Wall decals/stickers are amazing. Especially when they're under $10!
On with the show....
Online Shopping Gems: Quirky Socks for Under Five Bucks
| My dog, Dusty, in her widdle socks! |
| Thanks for the bunny socks, Grandma! |
I found LOADS of cool socks on AliExpress, but do be careful, as they tend to be suited for size 34-39 feet. As of the time I clipped these, they were under $5 (USD) and available for sale.
Keep an eye out for the Star Wars and toilet paper motif ones. Such options...
Online Shopping Gems: Shoes
We had a bit of a break, due to University starting and Bloggers' Fatigue (four posts a week for two months is hard!). Posts will probably slow down a bit from now on, because it's a busy time of year, but the quality will not diminish with the quantity, I will promise you that!
Without further ado, here is an assortment of some fantastic shoes I found, for under $20 (as of the time I clipped 'em). Buying shoes online is a tricky issue, but you just have to be SUPER careful about sizing. It is doable, if you're smart about it.

Online Shopping Gems: Backpacks
I hear backpacks are in at the moment? Apparently the tiny, dainty ones are, at least. I'm into that, it seems pretty practical, and there are some really cool designs out there.
Whatever the current trend is, from huge to novelty to pintsized, Absolootely has you covered for all types of backpacks. And these are all under $20, including shipping, which is pretty damn sweet! Here's a collection of my top finds:
Read our latest review, which was about a backpack? Check it out here.

Online Shopping Gems: Pyjamas
It's pretty impressive how cheap some pyjama sets are, because you're getting two items for one. I swear by pyjama sets, especially your classic flannelette set, so I had loads of fun seeing how cheap I could get them.
Here are the best PJ sets I found for under $20:
Online Shopping Gems: Lips
Imagine if you had two mouths! You could be eating chocolate through one whilst sipping on a coconut through the other. Delicious.
Anyways, until scientists work out how to make that a thing, we'll just have to pretend that it's possible to have multiple functional lips by adorning ourselves in lip patterned clothing and inspired accessories.
Here are my top finds off of Aliexpress:

Online Shopping Gems: Camisoles & Tank Tops
Since I got some permanent shoulder decoration, I've been all over the interweb trying to find some tops that will show it off a bit. I don't have a lot of spaghetti straps, halter necks, tank tops, camisoles, etc. That's going to change!
Since camisoles (that's the best word to describe them, right?) are pretty flimsy and light, it's not really something worth shelling out for. I wore a camisole to an Arctic Monkeys concert last month and it barely survived! Glad I paid under $10 for that one!
There are some uber cute tops over on Aliexpress, here are my top finds! I basically included everything that has straps and is a top. It's not a very specific collection...

Online Shopping Gems: The Hot Air Balloon Collection
I'll be out of my mind, and you'll be out of ideas pretty soon,
so let's spend the afternoon in a cold hot air balloon.
- Owl City, Hot Air Balloon -
Ever noticed how clothes seem to bear many of the same motifs? I find it a weird trend, like who sits down and decides which little doodle drawing we'll be sporting next? We've seen it with cats, with owls, with all sorts of other animals. Whilst browsing AliExpress, I discovered that apparently hot air balloons are a thing. I'm assuming they're only online because I don't think I've ever seen a hot air ballon pattern in stores here.
Do you think the hot air balloon motif will catch on? Kate does.

Online Shopping Gems: Leggings
Some of the coolest fabrics are used for leggings, but they are a controversial and difficult to wear piece of clothing. The general consensus is that they are best worn with a tunic, and not as pants.
They are a great example of an item that you're not going to wear a lot. As amazing as the above Star Wars tights are, you won't get $100 use out of them, as Black Milk might suggest.
Here's a HUGE collection of the very best leggings I found on Aliexpress:

Online Shopping Gems: Cookie Cutters and Chocolate Moulds
Today's post takes Absolootely in a slightly different direction. Up until now, we've been all about fashion, but I thought I'd share a few of my favourite baking accessories. It can be tricky and expensive to keep up with the latest trend, so I prefer to turn to the Internet for my supplies.
I can personally vouch for the cat and flower cookie cutters and the foil candy wrappers, all of which are of excellent quality. The cat and flower cutters are a super sturdy metal, none of that flimsy, sharp stuff. I also own a Winnie the Pooh version of the Mickey Mouse set, makes for totally unique cookies.

Online Shopping Gems: Shirt Dresses
Since there are a bazillion cute, cheap dresses on Aliexpress, I'm going to be as specific as possible when it comes to categorising these gems. 'Shirt' Dresses are amongst my favourite breed of dress. As per usual, as of the time I posted this, everything is under $20, probably by a lot, and in a selection of sizes. Zooey Deschanel and Alexa Chung are some very fashionable ladies who totally rock these dresses regularly, so take inspo from them and grab yourself a preppy-meets-quirky frock!

Online Shopping Gems: White Tees
Over on aliexpress, you'll find a plethora of t-shirts for under $15. There were so many that I liked, so I've had to split the t-shirt category into multiple segments, else this post would be like the extended edition of Atlas Shrugged. Today, let's delve into the world of the white t-shirt, but add some sparkle to the mix. A white tee with an ironic slogan or pretty pattern is super crisp and easy to wear. They're also pretty cheap to manufacture, so there are many-a-bargain to be found!
(Click photo for product page. There are non-white alternatives for some of these, if you're not a fan of separating your washing)
